We held a fantastic tasting for one of our finance clients last week, they only wanted the very best, so we provided some great wines to suit the occasion. They were experienced wine imbibers and we had a very lively question and answer session. We also had a food and wine matching session and a competition to guess a mystery wine.......only 1 of 40 guests got the answer! We'll keep it a secret, as we'll drop it into the next tasting we do! Cocktails and Canapés - new event idea for staff or clients
Clients have been asking us for an 'inbetween' type of event - not a wine tasting or a full on cooking event, but something in the middle where guests can get involved and have fun, but at a very reasonable cost. So here is Cocktail and Canapés - a fun idea for summer events. Costs depend on numbers e.g. group of 30 would cost £70 plus VAT per person, which includes our EC4 venue as well. We can come to your offices if you've got suitable space, if you prefer. Reaction from clients who have chosen this have been very positive indeed. Contact us for more information.

Champagne Tastings begin 2011 with a pop or 12!
Our first Champagne Tasting of the year was held on Saturday at Bacchanalia, our venue on the banks of the Thames. There were over 30 guests and they tasted some lovely varieties of champagne, together with a substantial buffet. By the end of the afternoon, all guests were very happy indeed. Chris Hambleton our Champagne expert was on top form, and was bombarded with questions throughout. He coped very well indeed.
The other dates for champagne tastings this year so far are:
19 Feb; 26 March; 16 April; 21 May; 25 June - but hurry as dates are getting full now. Usual price is £125, but if you email with the name of the 7th champagne on the list below - you'll get £50 off the price!
